Webb Detects Carbon Dioxide and Hydrogen Peroxide on Charon’s Surface


Using data from the Near-Infrared Spectrograph (NIRSpec) onboard the NASA/ESA/CSA James Webb Space Telescope, astronomers have detected carbon dioxide and hydrogen peroxide on the frozen surface of Pluto’s moon Charon.
