Webb Detects Silicon Monoxide in Atmosphere of Ultrahot Jupiter WASP-121b


Astronomers using the NASA/ESA/CSA James Webb Space Telescope have detected water, carbon monoxide, and silicon monoxide in the planet’s dayside atmosphere and methane in the nightside atmosphere.
