Thirty years of change of fish communities in South China Sea - EurekAlert


This study analyzed changes in fish community structure in Daya Bay over the past 30 years and compiled a more complete list of fish in Daya Bay. There have been noticeable changes in the fish community structure in Daya Bay, characterized by the decline of fish abundance and diversity, dramatic shifts in fish composition, and shrinking of fish body size. These alterations are likely closely associated with overfishing and habitat degradation.
