Tauonium: the smallest and heaviest atom with pure electromagnetic interaction - EurekAlert
<p>In an article published in Science Bulletin, it is shown that with a data collection of 1.5 ab-1 near the threshold of tau pair production in an electron and positron collider, the significance of observing the tauonium signal exceeds 5σ. Additionally, using the same dataset, the precision of measuring the tau lepton mass can be improved to 1 keV , two orders of magnitude higher than the current best experimental precision.</p>
