Scientists pay tribute to Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer with new species named after them - EurekAlert

Two new wasp species discovered in Thailand were named after tennis legends Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer in recognition of their achievements. The insects, described by scientists from Chulalongkorn University, are parasitoid wasps 6 mm long with black, white, and orange colour patterns, and were found in major Thai national parks. They were named Troporhogas rogerfedereri and Troporhogas rafaelnadali and were featured in an article published in ZooKeys.
