Scientists Identify Genetic Variants Associated with Increased Purring in Cats


In a new study, a team of researchers at Wildlife Research Center of Kyoto University aimed to explore the relationship between variation in the androgen receptor gene (AR) -- which is located on the X chromosome -- and behavioral traits in cats like purring.
