Resettlement processes and cultural transformation in an ancient megacity - EurekAlert

<em>The settlement history of the Iron Age metropolis of Hazor in Israel is the focus of a new research project at the University of Oldenburg, Germany. The researchers want to develop a comprehensive picture of the cultural and ethnic changes which occurred in the Levant at the transition from the Bronze Age to the Iron Age. The team will also examine how the identity of the people of Israel developed in the course of these transformations.</em>
