Researchers uncover what makes some chickens more water efficient than others - EurekAlert


<p>Research by the Arkansas Agricultural Experiment Station, the research arm of the University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture, indicates a specially bred line of chickens could save growers thousands of gallons of water and thousands of pounds of food each month without sacrificing poultry&nbsp;health.&nbsp;The study&nbsp;was part of a five-year project funded by a $9.95 million grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture&rsquo;s National Institute of Food and Agriculture.</p>
