Recent progress of narrowband perovskite photodetectors: fundamental physics and strategies - EurekAlert

In recent years, narrowband photodetectors with tunable spectral response have been widely used in the fields of image sensing, machine vision, Internet of Things (IoT), optical communication and medicinal chemistry. Metal halide chalcogenides have attracted attention for their excellent photoelectric properties. Photodetectors utilizing chalcogenide materials as active or other functional layers can present advantages such as narrow-band absorption, high external quantum efficiency, and wide tunable spectral range. Recently, Associate Professor Wu Dan's group at Shenzhen University of Technology (SUT) and Associate Professor Wang Kai's group at Southern University of Science and Technology (SUST) have reviewed and summarized the latest research progress on the working mechanism and realization strategy of chalcogenide-based narrow-band photodetectors.
