Potamophylax kosovaensis, a new insect species from Kosovo that is already endangered - EurekAlert


<p>Kosovo boasts abundant biodiversity, evidenced by the discovery of numerous new insect species in recent years. Among these discoveries is the latest new species for science, <em>Potamophylax kosovaensis</em>, found by Professor Halil Ibrahimi and published in the Biodiversity Data Journal. However, this natural wealth is under threat as the species may be harmed by manmade pressures such as water pollution, littering, and the construction of hydropower plants.</p>
