<p>Even one small step can have a profound impact on mankind &mdash;as was demonstrated by the Apollo 11 Moon landing and Neil Armstrong&rsquo;s first step onto the Moon. Now, in a new study published in <em>Nature</em>, ASHBi researchers at Kyoto University have unlocked the potential for the near-indefinite production of precursors of mature human gametes in culture, thereby achieving a new milestone for human <em>in vitro</em> gametogenesis research and the potential treatment for infertility.</p>
