Novel Au-BiFeO3 nanostructures for efficient and sustainable degradation of pollutants - EurekAlert


<p><strong>Au-decorated BiFeO<sub>3</sub> nanocrystals are promising, efficient, and sustainable photocatalysts for environmental pollutant degradation, as shown by scientists at Tokyo Tech. Their findings on the mechanisms responsible for the enhanced photocatalytic activity of Au-BiFeO<sub>3</sub> nanocrystals fabricated using a hydrothermal method enhance our understanding of noble-metal-semiconductor interactions, potentially paving the way for novel and advanced nanomaterials.</strong></p>
