NARO developed a novel method to analyze “forever chemicals” in the soil - EurekAlert


A research team led by National Agriculture and Food Research Organization(NARO) et.al, engaged in the per- and poly-fluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) research has successfully developed a relatively quick, cheap and simple method for simultaneous analysis of 30 different PFAS in soil, including perfluorohexane sulfonate (PFHxS), perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS), and perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA), which has been difficult so far.
