Nanotyrannus Represents Distinct Species of Tyrannosaurid Dinosaur, New Research Confirms


Nanotyrannus lancensis -- long thought by many to be a teenage Tyrannosaurus rex -- was in fact a fully mature, distinct species of smaller tyrannosaurid, according to a team of U.S. paleontologists.
