Mutations in wheat TaAPA2 gene result in pleiotropic effects on plant architecture - EurekAlert

An article just published in Science China Life Sciences reports the identification and functional characterization of the wheat TaAPA2 gene, which encodes a protein featuring von Willebrand factor type A (vWA) and Vwaint domains. The researchers propose that mutations in TaAPA2 likely work through dominant negative effects, leading to pleiotropic effects on plant architecture in wheat.
