Missing microbes in infants and children in the COVID-19 pandemic - EurekAlert


A research paper just published in Science China Life Sciences reports a sequence of alterations in the gut microbiome of infants and children in the pandemic. These changes include shifts in bacterial community structure, significant reduction in bacterial load, and the impacts of the pandemic on the maturation of the gut microbiome in uninfected infants and children.
