Lunar Ice Deposits are More Extensive than Previously Thought


A new analysis of data from NASA’s Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) shows there is widespread evidence of water ice within permanently shadowed regions outside the south pole, towards at least 77 degrees south latitude.
