Heart transplant breakthrough as human receives titanium heart for the first time

A human has received a titanium heart for the first time in medical history. The patient, 58, was implanted with the BiVACOR Total Artificial Heart (TAH) earlier this month as a bridge-to-heart-transplant solution for patients living with severe conditions.
