Tropical Storm Elsa
Tropical Storm Elsa was the second-farthest-east tropical storm to develop in the Main Development Region so early in the calendar year on record and the earliest fifth tropical storm to develop in the Atlantic basin, surpassing the previous record held by Tropical Storm Edouard in the record-breaking 2020 Atlantic hurricane season.
