Discernible disparities in atmospheric circulation and precursor anomalies exerting influence on extreme precipitation ... - EurekAlert

In a paper published in SCIENCE CHINA Earth Sciences, a team of researchers conducted a comprehensive analysis of atmospheric circulation anomalies and precursor fluctuation signals associated with extreme precipitation events in the Northwestern and Southeastern regions of the Tibetan Plateau, as well as the Southern areas of the Himalayas, by investigating patterns of summer extreme precipitation on the Tibetan Plateau. It provides a novel perspective to enhance the forecasting accuracy of extreme precipitation events in this region.
