Charting super-colorful brain wiring using an AI's super-human eye - EurekAlert


Kyushu University researchers have developed a new AI tool, QDyeFinder, that can automatically identify and reconstruct individual neurons from images of the mouse brain. The team conducted a super-multicolor labeling protocol that labeled neurons with seven different fluorescent proteins which then the AI would automatically identify the neuron’s structure by identifying similar color combinations.
