Binary Star System Detected Close to Milky Way’s Central Black Hole


Using data from ESO’s Very Large Telescope (VLT) and Keck telescope, astronomers have discovered a binary star system in the S star cluster close to Sagittarius A*, the supermassive black hole at the center of our Milky Way Galaxy.
