Accelerated marine carbon cycling forced by tectonic degassing over the Miocene Climate Optimum - EurekAlert
<p>In a recent paper published in <em>Science Bulletin</em>, strong tectonic degassing during the Miocene Climatic Optimum from about 17 to 14 million years ago injected massive amounts of carbon into the Earth's surface system, accelerating the response of marine carbon cycle to eccentricity forcing.</p>
