A study of support groups (n=1276; 49 countries) concluded 71% found their doctors' advice unhelpful regarding stopping an antidepressant; the main reasons being a reduction rate that was too quick, the doctor not familiar with withdrawal symptoms or saying stoppings meds won't cause symptoms.
