A new family of beautiful-charming Tetraquark - EurekAlert

Using lattice quantum chromodynamics and large scale computing, this innovative work provides compelling evidence supporting the existence of a novel tetraquark. The predicted exotic subatomic particle is made of a beauty and a charm quarks along with two light antiquarks, and it belongs to a family of tetraquarks, called <em>Tbc</em>: the &nbsp;<em>beautiful-charming tetraquarks</em>. The formation of this tetraquark was investigated using the interactions between a bottom and a charm mesons.
