A new approach for deducing rms proton radii from charge-changing reactions of neutron-rich nuclei and the reaction ... - EurekAlert
In a paper published in Science Bulletin, an international team of nuclear physics experiments measured the charge-changing reaction cross sections of 24 light nuclei on carbon and hydrogen targets. Benefiting from the large data set, the researchers found evidence of proton evaporation processes in the charge-changing reactions. They provided a novel approach for determining the point-proton distribution radius of exotic nuclei from the cross sections on carbon and hydrogen reaction targets within the same framework.
