A devastating fire 2,200 years ago preserved - EurekAlert

2,200 years ago, Building G in the archaeological site Tossal de Baltarga burned to the ground. The destruction of Tossal de Baltarga, which occupied a strategic position in the Pyrenees, may have been linked to Hannibal’s army marching through this region to fight the Romans during the Second Punic War.
