52,000-Year-Old Woolly Mammoth Skin Retained Its Ancient Genome Architecture: Study


Scientists from Baylor College of Medicine and elsewhere sayd they have discovered fossils of ancient chromosomes in the remains of a female woolly mammoth (Mammuthus primigenius) that died 52,000 years ago in what is now Siberia.
