Scientists discover hormone that may stop chronic back pain at its source


A new study suggests a widely used bone hormone could help relieve chronic back pain in an unexpected way. Instead of just strengthening bone, it appears to stop pain-sensing nerves from growing into damaged spinal areas. In animal models, this led to stronger spinal tissue and reduced pain sensitivity.
