This week in PNAS Journal Club: Three fossils of Ice Age American “cheetahs” found in the Yukon Territory offer the first full genome for the species. These extinct big cats were closely related to pumas, and ate a diet high in nitrogen, suggesting their main prey was fish, probably salmon.
